There are a lot of these kinds of videos, which would stop being funny/sad if they weren’t so incredibly accurate. Reminds me of a shoot I was pitching a few years ago for a soccer theme as a metaphor for teaming. We were going to hire a local soccer team, shoot on a gritty looking field in red hook…we were going to have a crane! It was going to be awesome. The client put up $50k for the shoot … and then one team member said that the only people she knew who played soccer was her son and didn’t think it would resonate with the audience.
It was for a global campaign, and it was summer 2006. During the World Cup. Yep, nobody in the world really cares about soccer except for her nine year old.
This guy is Me. Look at how thoughtful Me looks. Me is definitely thinking about something cool.
